IFALDA Accomplishments
March 15, 2012
IFALDA has officially been accepted to "Limited Observer Status" at ICAO. (Attached)
- IFALDA has submitted comments to the FAA SNPRM under Docket Number FAA-2008-0677 regarding the contract dispatching.
- IFALDA report on the new ICAO Annex changes and IOSA changes relating to FUEL and EDTO requirements.
- The new "FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Handbook". The majority of the manual is being written by IFALDA officers.
- IFALDA will continue with IOSA, with a substantial rewrite of the DSP standards due to the new ICAO fuel; and EDTO requirements and attended two IOSA meetings recently, one in February, and one recently in Miami.
- IFALDA has completed the Dispatch Auditor Course for IOSA. It has now been delivered to IATA management for processing.
- Through IFALDA's IOSA efforts, we also defined Flight Following, Flight Monitoring, and Flight Watch.
- IFALDA's Opinions are Recognized in FAA Document N8900.162 Appendix B. Letter of Interpretation. (Attached) MEL/CDL
- IFALDA continues to participate in the ICAO International Volcanic Ash Task Force, IVATF.
- IFALDA continues to participate in the ICAO Operations Panel, (OPSP) Meeting of the Working Group Of The Whole. Dangerous Goods Considerations for Annex 6.
- IFALDA officers authored ICAO Annex 6, Chapter 10, Amendment 30 - November 2006
- IFALDA officers authored the "ICAO Doc. 7192 D-3 - ICAO FOO/Dispatcher Training Manual".
