Dear Airline Operational Control/Flight Dispatch Colleague:

We would like to announce the World Dispatch Conference / IFALDA Annual General Meeting scheduled for May 7-9, 2007 at the Fairmont Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.  The theme will be “Exploring New Frontiers in Flight Dispatch/Operational Control”.  The Conference is officially sponsored by the General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai, one of the most exciting cities in the world, and the United Arab Emirates, located in one of the world’s most dynamic regions, are at the leading edge of some of the most advanced developments in aviation, particularly in the air transport arena.  This Conference is an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the latest developments in the area, as well as to network and make new friends in one of the world’s most important aviation venues.  In addition, there will be world-class vendors/suppliers of operational control technologies and services present at the Conference.

The International Federation of Airline Dispatcher’s Associations (IFALDA) is a non-union inclusive professional organization.  We look forward to welcoming everyone involved or interested in the Aircraft Dispatch/Operational Control professions including management, line and support personnel and government officials.  We also welcome both new and current members to join us at this annual gathering to discuss the latest developments in airline operational control, and the Flight Dispatch/Flight Operations Officer profession, past, present and future.  We work with ICAO, IATA, FAA, EASA/JAA and various other organizations on important projects regarding airline operational control.  We encourage you and your colleagues to join us at the meeting and become members of IFALDA.  Membership costs are minimal, at $15.00 USD per year per person.

We hope that you will join IFALDA so that you will have both a very useful new source of information, make very beneficial contacts and also have a voice and be able to contribute to what is happening in the changing world of airline operational control/flight dispatch.

Within a few days you will be able to register on the web site for the conference.   Please note that it is very important to register as early as possible, as May is a busy time in Dubai and hotel rooms will become more difficult to arrange as it gets closer to the Conference.
